Music: OnlyOneOf, Ken (of Vixx) and Baekhyun (of Exo) have new releases coming up that have preordered. I will do box openings when they arrive. I’m most excited about Baekhyun since his music hits the vibe more consistently.
The best track on Ken’s album seems to be the one written by Ravi. I wish there was more than what it is, especially since the release was soured (for me) with the news that he was going to enlist into the military right after the promotions cease. That means that it is going to be a long time before Vixx is together as a unit again with both main vocals and the leader being enlisted at the same time. I really hope that they come together for another album before Ravi enlists.
TV/Streaming (spoiler free): I’m not really watching any shows lately. I recently finished Little Fires Everywhere, which I enjoyed even though some parts really felt flat on hitting the intended mark. I also finally watched the second season of Big Little Lies, and I really wished it was more. I don’t know if they will have another season cause I didn’t keep track of it while it was airing even though I was really into the first season. Having it end with that confession really felt like smacking into a wall and blacking out to never recover. Also Shailene Woodley had horrible bangs, I don’t know what they were thinking with that. That being said I’d love to watch some more stuff made after books so I’m open to suggestions .
I also caught up with This is Us, I binged it over the course of about two weeks while doing housework (mostly dishes). Randall’s story line as well as the kid’s pasts are my favorites. I’ve been feeling like they give Kate more and more struggles and I’d like to see her win more but idk. Its not really my usual thing as it can be so cheesy (and I can’t tell if its intentional or not) but I will return to it someday I’m sure.
Games: I’ve been playing Animal Crossing New Horizons daily since it came out and just 5 starred my island yesterday. I’ll probably make more dedicated posts about AC but for now in the post game I’m mostly focused on finding my dream villagers and making the inside of my house less of a mess.
I’m also playing Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, which I’d started earlier in the year and dropped for AC. I only play it every other day or so and I’m going through it very slowly. It’s just been easier these days for me to play games such as AC that I can drop and save at any time without being confused as to what the hell I was doing. I’m gonna need to just sit down and grind on it at some point.
Then there is Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which I’ll also make a dedicated post about eventually (or not because I have a lot of bias about ff7 as an IP that IDK if anyone cares to read about or if I care to write it). But it goes without saying that I wish it were longer. I’m at the point the game is probably 4/5 over and knowing that its gonna end where it does kinda makes me not want to finish it because I don’t WANT it to end. I wish it at least ended where disc 1 did in the original. I’m sure a lot of people feel similarly, especially now when people are following shelter in place orders it would be nice to have longer games to play. I know I welcome the distractions.
Dolls: It feels good to say that I don’t have any active layaways going. I really overdid it with the grabby hands late last year. I have way too many dolls in a sort of limbo.
Two brand new dolls, Dust of Dolls Chambyol in peche and Rosen Garden Colin in oriental skin are still in production.
6 dolls out for aesthetics, 4 with Komorebi including one with mods to the ears. 2 out with Elven Aesthetics, one of which should be on its way any day now.
2 dolls on the way from Germany, from a trade with a dear friend and then I’m expecting a preorder for some dolls I really want in June.
I really need to focus on eyes and wigs and outfits for them for a while because they all have different vibes.I also want to work on props and roomboxes so they have a place to exist other than just sitting on my desk.
